Influence of COVID 19 Pandemic on Shifting High Dose I-131 Therapy to Home Isolation Practice.

COVID-19 pandemic forced medical facilities to postpone many elective services, including hospitalization for radioactive iodine (I131) therapy. This has negative impact on patients in need of this therapy countries, Kingdom Saudi Arabia (KSA), as they mandate hospital admission special isolation room few days receive high dose I31 In other is not significantly affected I-131 outpatient basis with home (HDITO) a well-established safe and effective therapeutic policy. Aim: To assess opinion health care providers concerned I131 KSA about HDITO verify acceptance apply during current pandemic. Material Methods: questionnaire was electronically dispensed results were collected within four weeks be statistically analysed. Results: Out 101 respondents, two thirds confirmed significant delay giving due COVID19. Half respondents agreed HDITO, 85% agreement reported those frequently involved Avoiding treatment its unfavourable consequences represents the foremost etiological factor policy followed by avoiding overwhelming system saving from catching viral infection .
